Group King is a Chrome extension that helps Facebook group administrators manage and onboard new members. We designed it to be private by default: your data lives in your own browser, not on our servers.
The short version
- Group King stores everything locally in your browser. We do not host, see, or sell your members' data.
- Member data only leaves your browser when you connect a destination (your Google Sheet, your CRM/autoresponder, or an optional enrollment endpoint) — and then it goes straight to that destination you chose, never through us.
- The only data sent to us-adjacent services is your license key, sent to our payment provider to confirm your subscription is valid.
What data Group King handles
When you review join requests in your Facebook group, Group King reads the information already shown on that page so you can manage it: member name, profile link, profile photo, their answers to your membership questions, location, account age, and mutual-friend counts. This is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local).
Where it is stored
All of it stays in your browser's local extension storage on your own device. It is not transmitted to Group King, and we have no server that receives or stores your members.
What is transmitted, and to where
- Google Sheets: if you connect a Google Sheet, approved members' details are sent to the Google Apps Script web app you deploy in your own Google account.
- CRM / autoresponder (e.g. GoHighLevel, Zapier, Make): if you paste a webhook URL, approved members are sent to that URL you provided.
- Enrollment endpoint (optional): if you configure one, approved members are sent to that endpoint you specify.
- License validation: your license key (not member data) is sent to our payment provider, Gumroad, to verify your purchase/subscription.
- Free trial signup: if you choose to start the free trial, the name and email you enter are sent to us (via our CRM, GoHighLevel) to activate your trial and send you setup help and product updates. This is your own contact information, not your members' data, and you can ask us to delete it anytime at [email protected].
Each of these is something you turn on and point at a destination you own or choose. Group King does not transmit your data anywhere else.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not share your members' data with third parties.
- We do not run analytics or telemetry that send your activity to us.
Permissions
Group King requests access to facebook.com (to add its buttons and read the requests you're reviewing), to Google Apps Script and your chosen webhook domains (only to deliver data to destinations you connect), and to our license provider (to validate your key). Broad website access is requested only at the moment you paste a webhook URL, and only for that destination.
Data retention & deletion
Because data is stored locally, you control it. You can delete any member from the dashboard, or clear all data via Settings → Clear All Data, or by removing the extension.
